This note of thanks is long overdue, however the feeling behind it is stronger than eve. You and your orchestra are by far the most talented, professional, energetic and sincere group of people we’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. From the first meeting with you, we felt that we were hiring long-time family friends to perform and coordinate the entertainment at our wedding. Your ideas and enthusiasm made it hard to wait a year for the big day! But the big day did come and you far exceeded our expectations. It was beyond anything we could have ever imagined. We are so thankful for our wonderful family and friends – they showed us so much love and support, not to mention their energy and ability to dance and party all night! This letter is long overdue. Things just kind of got away from us. First we had to help Paige and David move to Cambridge. Then Joyce and I had hand surgery (we had side-by–side beds in recovery room at Abington’s surgery center). Then the kids bought a house and moved to Newton, Massachusetts, and here it is, nine months since the wedding, and we have not taken the opportunity to thank you for what you did.
What a very special evening. The room was gorgeous, the flowers were perfect, the food was incredible, But the band, ah, the band…
The evening was over before we knew it. Perhaps it felt as if it happened so quickly because there was constant motion, constant activity, constant movement, constant frelach.
While the affair is unwinding, you don’t have the opportunity to see other than what is going on in your immediate vicinity. Now we have had the opportunity to look at the video, to see the photographs, to listen to the rave reviews. You and your ensemble are incredible. You had people on their feet all night long. I don’t think there was a quiet time on the dance floor. It never stopped. People are up, moving, dancing, mixing, and, most of all, enjoying. Your people are enormously talented. We could not ask for anything better than you provided.
And the trumpet leaving the newly married couple backed on the aisle… What a memory. Joyce and I can’t thank you enough. You are a very special person

Well, I’ve been meaning to call you since Jeff and I returned from our honeymoon but haven’t had chance. We’ve already in our minds replayed the wedding over and over, it was the most fun I’ve ever had. We just watched all the raw footage from our wedding and I have to tell you, it’s almost as much fun to watch as it was to be there! The energy you created and organized for the night was truly amazing. Jeff and I are forever grateful that we had the pleasure and fun of working with you. I can’t even tell you how many people complemented our band– like everyone I’ve talked to! You are amazing, from pop music to the most fabulous hora, I don’t know how you did it. I know you keep tapes of your parties, so if you want a copy we would be glad to get one for you. The shots of the dance floor are amazing– and every table was empty! AND, there’s a great shot of the dance floor in the beginning of the party right up to the bandstand, and we know at the end of the party it was 2 feet further away because of the dancing! From the moment I got engaged, my first phone call, after calling my family of course, was to Sally Mitlas. I had been a guest at other weddings where her band performed and knew it was the band I wanted for my wedding. I never knew how much thought went into planning the actual reception, until I sat down with her to start the process. Actually, having been to other weddings, I truly noticed the difference with the bands that are just there to play music and don't get involved with the behind the scenes like Sally did. The attention to detail she gave with the timing and pacing and working with our caterer, allowed me and my husband to really enjoy ourselves at our wedding.
As soon as the ceremony was done and the doors to the reception room opened, people did not stop dancing. The musicians brought so much energy into that room and kept it going throughout the night. The small details again, made the night so much more special, including my grandfather singing with the band. It was truly the most amazing night, not only for my husband and I, but also for our family and friends. We have been married 10 years now and everyone still talks about that night! I would highly recommend Mitlas Dance Band, especially Mitlas Productions, if you want to start your marriage off on the right foot (and left)!!

The Mitlas Dance Band is so outstanding! We still get compliments about the entertainment at our daughter's wedding over a year ago. Our friends and family comment that, with every song, they thought they were at a concert. The music was excellent, lively and rich, but not too loud. At so many affairs, you can't hear the conversation at the table during the meal because the band is so loud. Sally Mitlas is so good at coordinating with the caterer. There was never food on the table when people were supposed to be dancing, and just about everyone was up and dancing in between courses. I recommend the Mitlas Dance Band to friends who are planning their weddings or the children's weddings.
Wedding: 3/4/2018:
Sally Mitlas and the Mitlas Dance Band played my wedding on May 28th, and they were absolutely incredible!!! I seriously couldn't have been happier. I am a professional musician, and I was beyond impressed by the level of the musicianship and energy of all the instrumentalists and singers. They are all really amazing players. They perform a really wide range of music, and excel in so many different style and genres. Sally has been a band leader for a long time, and she is such a pro. She really knows how to throw a party, how to time an evening, how to build it, and how to make everything run seamlessly. Due to all of her experience, I felt completely comfortable and confident that my guests were going to have an amazing time at my wedding. And we all had the BEST time! Many of my friends are also professional musicians, and all of them kept complimenting the band and telling me how incredible they are. I seriously can't recommend them enough. Sally was really accommodating with all of our special requests, and she is so helpful and personable. I was completely blown away, and I would hire Sally Mitlas and the Mitlas Dance Band again in a heartbeat. It was the best night of my life!
Wedding: 8/23/2018:
Sally and her band made our 50th Wedding Anniversary party a spectacular event. We booked them without seeing or hearing them on the recommendation of a musician friend who was unavailable for the date. They far exceeded our high expectations. It was great to hear "Where did you find this great band?" from many of our guests of all age categories with different musical tastes. I would highly recommend them for any event.

Absolutely incredible!! Anthony and Bill were so great from start to finish. Anthony was so attentive and so professional. He honestly felt like a friend and the added bonus of him singing 2 songs was a hit. Bill and the dumbek worked so well and Lisa and I had a blast with him on the dance floor. The percussion mixed with the DJ worked exactly as we envisioned and so happy we decided to do it this way. Bill played the dumbek right after the glass breaking at the ceremony and everyone followed him to the cocktail hour. It worked really well and all of the guests danced all night!
Both Anthony and Bill did an exceptional job and we could not be happier. The weekend is all a bit of blur for me but from what I remember, the horah was so much fun. The mix was great and we all got up on the chairs. So great!!

This sounds like a movie title and it very well could have been for the three Oscar-winning events my family and I attended where Sally Mitlas and her Mitlas entertainment band led each of these affairs with such style and effervescence.
Guests were constantly on their toes dancing horas, and to Beatles, 70s disco, the kids music, and some of the most romantic tunes for the bride and groom and the guests who crowded the floor.
In all of my years I truly don't know if I have ever been to such affairs where all of the people wanted to dance and party so much.
Sally Mitlas surely knows how to capture her audience and time the whole day with the meal and any significant parts such as the Bar Mitzvah boy's candlelighting ceremony or the bride's and groom's cake cutting, father and daughter dance where Sally had everyone in tears from her beautiful and soulful ballad.
Something I had never seen before at one of the weddings was a tradition of entertaining the bride and groom who sat while all of the guests danced around them in a manner that was entertaining and jovial. Sally's Music was fun and Uplifting. The couple held hands and laughed and then joined in another hora. Once again the whole party was on their toes happy as could be. This is what you would want to see at your wedding or any affair, for that matter.
Given that we are a family of four, both my wife and I and two children ages 13 and 21, each agreed that this was the most incredible band and music we'd all enjoyed at every affair we attended. I cannot recommend a more vibrant, refreshing, entertainer for your event. Max Stevens

The first time I saw Sally Mitlas and her Mitlas band was at a wedding about 10 years ago. It was at that time that I vowed to have her entertain at my daughter's wedding when the time would come.
I have never seen any other band leader handle every aspect of the guests from the moment the mother of the bride walks down the aisle, to the bride and groom's first romantic dance as Mr. And Mrs., to the congas and horas, the cake cutting, and bouquet tossing.
Throughout each affair where Sally Mitlas performs, she has extraordinary insight and timing to know just when to strike up the band for a crowd pleasing Motown medley or bring it down for that ever -so -sweet father- daughter dance.
Ten years have passed and our daughter will be getting married next year with Sally Mitlas at the helm.
And everyone knows to wear comfy shoes because we will have non-stop dancing and partying. Thank you Sally Mitlas. Can't wait!!!

Sally mitlas and her band are top notch. Right from our first meeting with Sally, I knew she was going to make my day special, exactly what I wanted, and I wouldn't have to worry about a thing with the music or flow of the reception. We wanted an Israeli feel in our wedding and Sally truly took our party to Israel. We had Israeli drums and shofars blown at our ceremony! The hora was amazing. There's really nothing I can say to describe how awesome it was except saying that guests throughout the night kept saying how the hora was off the charts. The amazing music didn't stop at the Jewish songs either. The band had world class talent and kept me and my guests dancing all night long. Aside from the great music, I am very grateful to have had Sally as a band leader. She really had me feel comfortable and confident that the reception would flow seamlessly and every detail we had spoken about would come through and it did. I would highly recommend Sally mitlas and the Mitlas dance band!!!

Sally Mitlas provided our band and videography services for our wedding in 2009. We enjoyed working with Sally and her team and they made a wonderful night even more special. In our meetings before the wedding, Sally was available and flexible in customizing the wedding to our needs and interests. She orchestrated the night professionally and appropriately, adhering to what we wanted and also adding her experience to cater to our guests and plan an incredible evening. When we received the video, it further confirmed that Sally gives her projects 100% attention - the videographers (unobtrusively) caught great shots and scenes and framed out memories for the future.
Member: A night to remember
We were so lucky to find Sally Mitlas. My daughter was marrying a young man whose family was from Latvia and Russia. Sally was able to sing in Russian which made our guests feel so welcome. We also did "entertaining the bride and groom". It seemed that the more she gave to the crowd the more they wanted.
My daughter's father in law even thanked me for giving him back his heritage. It was quite moving.
Sally has become our "family band" as well as a good friend.

Sally Mitlas and her band not only did an outstanding job musically, but they truly entertained the crowd and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. Their energy and enthusiasm was contagious. Additionally, Sally Mitlas made the evening flow beautifully, adding to the magic of the night and creating unity with the ceremony.
In preparation for the big night, Sally Mitlas listened to our wants and needs as a couple and truly created a custom evening.
Finally, we added on a custom skit video to our package, produced by Sally Mitlas. It was humorous and sentimental, and really added a unique touch to the wedding, rather than a run-of-the-mill slide show. Totally worth it. People still talk about it 5 years later!
I would recommend Sally Mitlas to anyone! She does a phenomenal job beginning to end.

Last night I brought out my wedding photo album to reminisce on the best night of my life, and thought, I have Sally Mitlas and Mitlas Dance Band to thank for creating the perfect party to celebrate all the love! When my husband and I met with Sally to explain to her the feeling we wanted to have at our wedding, although some things were unorthodox, she made everything happen! She re-created a pop song that I wanted to walk down the aisle to, and it was very special for us. The party was incredible. I don't think anyone was sitting the entire night. We couldn't stop dancing, and when the music stopped at the end of the night, the guests were cheering "one more song!" No one wanted the night to end, all thanks to the Mitlas Band. I highly recommend sitting down with Sally. She will turn your dream wedding into reality!

We had horns at the ceremony and then what felt like a 100 piece band at the reception. The dance floor was full from before we were introduced until the night ended. Sally met with us several times to ensure our wedding was personalized; she even had our friends do a last minute prearranged dance that was quite a success. What can i say about Sally and the Mitlas Dance Band? They are simply the best!
As bride, you have so many decisions to make and so much to think about. From my first meeting with Sally, i knew i was in good hands! She is more than a band leader, she helped to coordinate and orchestrate the flow of my wedding party - from the timing of the first dance, to the first course, etc. I left it all in her hands - including the music selection! (can you imagine going to your wedding and not having a clue as to what would be played!?)
My wedding was 4 years ago, and i can still remember the feeling when the band started to play...the 1st dance (magical), the hora (it went on and on and on) and then, the first REAL PARTY song - WOW! I was blown away, that i could have such an amazing band at my wedding. The dance floor was packed and the music was amazing! I felt like the luckiest girl /woman /wife/ mother in the world! Sally and her band rocked it out all night, from current hits, to motown to Jewish klezner music - you name it, she can do it!
Sally really provides the best of both worlds. She and her band can play the current top 40 hits as well as the typical (and non typical) Jewish music that makes a Jewish wedding special.

Not only will your guests not leave the dance floor (to the point where your wedding will be extended into the night because everyone is having too much fun), but you receive such personalization, timeline coordination and if you choose - a video that your guests will LOVE. The word "band" does not fully describe what Mitlas Productions is - they help coordinate during the day, create a timeline that won't leave your guests falling asleep at the table during long speeches - they make sure the flow goes perfectly and it DOES. Before I even met my husband I attended a wedding Sally and her band was at and I said to myself "the day this happens for me I will not hire anyone else." Her talent along with the talent she hires, all have amazing voices and such fun personalities. I had friends already who were already married at my wedding tell me they wish they had hired her for theirs! My wedding was the most fabulous night of my life, and I know it is hugely due to Mitlas Productions. Sally truly cares about each and every client and works her hardest to make your wedding everything you have dreamt of your whole life. A family friend of ours now is newly engaged and repeatedly tell me my wedding was the most "magical" night and they had never been to a wedding before like mine - they hired Sally immediately before they even had a date! Sally Mitlas and her band truly made our wedding wonderful and memorable. We wanted a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony, and Sally's band provided the traditional Jewish music to elevate that (traditional Jewish love songs for walking down the aisle, an incredible hora, etc.). Additionally, though, they also performed modern pop and great dance music throughout the entire reception. All of our guests were up dancing the ENTIRE night. At 2am when the reception ended, everyone was still on the dance floor wondering how the night could have ended so quickly. Sally, herself, coordinated the entire evening so that everything ran smoothly and every moment free for dancing was maximized. I highly recommend Sally and her band if you are looking for a night of dancing and celebrating that everyone will be sure to remember. It's been over a year since my wedding, and people still comment on what a wonderful time they had at our wedding.

Sally Mitlas and her band provided the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at my daughter's wedding in June. Every time I run into someone who was there, they immediately start going on and on about how wonderful the band was! Sally created the perfect mood for each part of the day and she made sure every guest had a fabulous time. We had several professional musicians at the wedding as guests and they all commented on how fabulous the band was. I highly recommend Sally and Mitlas Entertainment!

Sally and her band were amazing! They were a fantastic combination of American hits and great horah music. Sally is an awesome band leader who knows how to direct the crowd and plan out the entire event. She spent a lot of time planning the whole night with us and really listened to what we wanted. She seamlessly coordinated between Israeli music and dancing and American hits with her DJ. The crowd was dancing all night and everyone agreed it was an awesome party.
